I have been a teacher for nearly a decade. The majority of my career was spent in Spanish Immersion Kindergarten. I also taught a program for younger 5 year olds, and English Kindergarten. I double majored in Elementary Education and Spanish in college. During my time there, I volunteered teaching Spanish to adults and children in many different settings. I have my masters in Curriculum and Instruction and am also a certified Reading Specialist. Recently, I have been staying home with my two daughters, soaking up all the joy & chaos.

My grandpa was from El Salvador and that is how I developed a love for the Spanish language. I studied abroad in El Salvador, Spain, and Costa Rica for various amounts of time. I met all my extended family in El Salvador and worked in the hospitals there. While in Spain, I tutored children in Spanish and English. In Costa Rica, I took classes that emphasized teaching Spanish as a second language through an immersion setting.

In my “free time” (do we have that with young kids?) I enjoy taking pictures, traveling, and spending time outside.

Hello! I was born in Guatemala but have lived most my life here in Minnesota. I grew up bilingual so teaching Spanish to kids has become a passion of mine. I graduated from Wisconsin Madison and then received my Masters in Elementary Education. I worked at Minnetonka public schools in the Spanish immersion program for 8 years.

I have three kiddos of my own now and we love spending time outside playing and traveling when we can. So excited to meet your kiddo!
